I also have to use a full team of six rather than just speed running through the game with an overleveled starter. I have also added a few additional rules to make it a bit more of a challenge, such as banning healing items in-battle and forcing myself to play on set mode. To avoid burn-out, I will be playing the games 'simultaenously' and rotating every day, following a set structure which should give me enough variety in terms of regions. First May met a co-ordinator that had one. This will be my own personal space to keep track of my game progress as I attempt to play through all 35 main series Pokemon games within one year. If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems 1st - Sleep powder, 2nd - Stun spore, 3rd - Whirlwind, 4th - Shadow ball, 5th - Sleep Powderīeautifly has had a fair few Animé Appearences. The main thing to watch out for is it's Stun Spore.Ī good Contest Moveset for Beautifly would have to be this for the Smart Contest best with Calm, Gentle, Careful, Sassy Nature: It's got weak defences, barring moves that are resisted most things will do a large chunk of damage. Toxic is hurt by the fact that you should have most things Stun Spored, Safeguard is handy but the opportunities to use it tend to be limited. Toxic and Safeguard are the best of the bunch here. Shadow Ball is just a good move, AA is for the Hidden Power phobic. Shadow Ball, Aerial Ace, Toxic, Safeguard. Alternatively you could max an offensive stat. ![]() Max Speed to kick off Paralysis ASAP and then Max HP to have a hope of surviving an attack or two. Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) / Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) Thief is useful for stealing an opponent's Leftovers, can cause some problems for a Tank. Substitute has it's obvious merits, Whirlwind can be used for some PHazing but with such weak defences it'll be hard to pull off. With Morning Sun it can stall for time for what it's worth, it has a handful of resistance to common attacks so it can get some mileage out of it. Your offensive option could also be a STAB choice, Silver Wind is rather chance reliant and with low PP and Beautifly not benefiting that much from the boost anyway it's probably best dropped in favour of Hidden Power. It's Special Attack isn't too bad but it lacks STAB or a reasonable move pool to back it up, Psychic is the best option out of it and wit ha 4x resistance to Fighting Attacks it can cause some problems for Fighters, provided it doesn't walk straight into a Rock Attack. The only redeeming quality of this Bug is Stun Spore, giving it at least some use on your team. If you stripped Butterfree of everything good about it you'd be left with Beautifly. It attacks by jabbing with its long, thin mouth.Ī Good Moveset for Beautifly would have to be this: Despite its appearance, it has an aggressive nature. It flies through flower-covered fields collecting pollen. Its colorfully patterned wings are its most prominent feature. It rides the spring winds as it flits around gathering pollen. ![]() It has a long mouth like a coiled needle, which is very convenient for collecting pollen from flowers. If you want to see it, just leave a potted flower by an open window and it is sure to come looking for pollen. It's favorite food is the sweet pollen of flowers.
